PICCOLA MORTE ss26
Raquel Dorantes x Cuadra Lifestyle Mx
Piccola Morte explores the moment when leather changes—when wear reveals new layers and time leaves its mark. Developed for Cuadra, the collection understands leather not as a static surface, but as a living material that records history. Inspired by the textures and traces of Gabriel de la Mora, the spatial cuts of Fontana y Scheggi, and the body-as-landscape perspective of John Coplans, leather becomes space, memory, and transformation. The influence of Manuel Álvarez Bravo and Nendo Studio adds humanity, shadow, and a sense of transition between states. Piccola Morte honors Cuadra’s tradition while moving it toward an experimental language—leather as trace, as threshold, and as a dialogue between past and future.
